KombuchaIf you haven’t heard of kombucha, it’s time to learn about this amazing fermented drink! It is considered to be a potent healing drink and has been used as a remedy for thousands of years. Kombucha offers many health benefits such as improved digestion and immunity, to name a few. But just what is kombucha? Read on to find out!

Kombucha is a fermented tea that contains bacteria, only the bacteria are healthy bacteria because they are probiotic. This may sound strange but this tea has been a remedy for a very long time. It has been made for thousands of years and people all around the world swear by its healthful properties. In fact, ancient Chinese people considered kombucha to be the ultimate health elixir.

Kombucha can be brewed in your house or it can simply be purchased at almost any grocery store, making it a convenient way to detoxify and energize. Yeast and symbiotic bacteria are added to brewed and sweetened black, white, or green tea, and the end result after fermentation is kombucha. The “mother” is the floating piece of cellulose that you see in the jar, and it signifies live kombucha. If the mother is not present, it means that the kombucha has been processed, which is not a good sign.

It may look strange with its floating bacteria, but kombucha offers many health benefits that simply can’t be beat. Here are a few to consider:

Detoxification- Kombucha offers amazing detoxifying properties because of the many enzymes and organic acids it contains. It assists the body in getting rid of wasteful cells in the body such as cancer, and kombucha also helps to cleanse the liver and kidneys.

Improved vitality and energy- When you get rid of waste products in the body, you cleanse it from the inside out. Kombucha is a magic elixir that gets rid of anything that has built up in your body that is harmful and does not serve you. You’ll feel more energetic and clear-headed because the harmful bacteria has been killed by the good bacteria in kombucha.

Improved immunity and digestion– The probiotics in kombucha are present because of the bacteria. When you drink kombucha, the bacteria find themselves in your stomach where they really work their magic! Probiotics help digestion by normalizing the flora in your gut and reducing Candida. This can also prevent diseases later on down the road.

As you can see, kombucha is a wonder drink that can really make a big difference in your health and vitality. Pick up a bottle at your grocery store and see the difference for yourself!
