The Paleo diet is one of the best nutritional approaches around today. This lifestyle can help you get and stay strong, energetic and lean. And it is definitely the healthiest way you can eat every day. The Paleo diet is the new modern diet that is based on emulating the diet of our ancestors. Various studies suggest that this amazing diet can lead to fairly significant weight loss and also major health improvements. This diet eliminates refined sugar, trans fats, and foods that are the root of bad diseases like cancer, obesity, diabetes, Parkinson’s, heart disease, Alzheimer’s, infertility, and depression.

Here are the detailed Paleo Diet basics to help you on your Paleo journey:

Eat a lot of meat, including lamb, organ meat, beef, pork, poultry fish and other seafood. Eating a lot of fat and protein will provide the basis for weight loss. Meat is the most significant source of protein. Wild caught salmon and tuna is also recommended to always be on your shopping list.

Eat plenty of eggs. Eggs are very important for Paleo eaters who wish to lose a lot of fat and gain muscle. The yolks are good too, so don’t worry about the fat and cholesterol myth.

Eat vegetables of a wide variety: bell peppers, broccoli, carrots, tomatoes, cauliflower, kale, beets, Brussel sprouts, spinach, cucumbers, zucchini, parsnips, watercress, turnips, yellow squash, etc. You can roast them, sauté them, steam them, or bake them.

Eat healthy fats like animal fat, and use olive oil for salads and ghee. Some great foods that contain healthy fats are cashews, almonds, avocados, macadamias, and hazelnuts.

Buy quality meat when deciding in your grocery aisle. Go organic and grass-fed whenever possible. But if you only can buy industrially grown meat, just be sure to go for the leanest cuts possible.

Eat moderate amounts of fruits, and focus on berries (strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, raspberries).

Limit high-carb foods. If your goal is to lose fat, go easy on starchy vegetables like potatoes.

Avoid grains as much as you can, because they are source of inflammation. So, get rid of grains from your diet. These grains include rice, barley, corn, oats, wheat, etc.

Eliminate sugar. Be sure to avoid nearly all forms of added sugar such as maple syrup, Stevia or Splenda, not just table sugar. In addition, avoid consuming too much fructose from fruits.

Avoid legumes. This not only includes lentils and the like, but also peanuts.

Avoid seed oils and replace them with ghee, lard, or coconut oil.

Eliminate most dairy products, especially high fat ones. Instead go for low fat yogurt or skim milk.

Overall, getting started with the Paleo diet can be fairly tough, but it will definitely provide many health benefits for you. It will reduce pain from autoimmunity, improve blood lipids and will help you lose weight.
