Who We Are

The American Paleo Association is a membership-based business association for the Paleo industry in the world. The American Paleo Association mission is to promote and educate Paleo Foods to benefit the health of humans. American Paleo Association envisions paleo products becoming a significant part of everyday life, enhancing people’s health and lives.

The American Paleo Association, was established in 2009 in the United States. Since its inception, the association has been a key player in shaping both the regulatory and market environment for Paleo Foods.
American Paleo Association is a leader in advocating and protecting Paleo standards so that consumers can have confidence in certified Paleo foods.  With input from its diverse membership, American Paleo Association continues to develop and refine Paleo standards for emerging product areas. American Paleo Association monitors the work of government agencies, takes positions on legislation that affects Paleo agriculture and products, and represents the industry to regulators, elected officials, and international bodies.
American Paleo Association is committed to increasing the amount of agricultural land under Paleo management for the good of the planet and its inhabitants. A healthy supply chain is integral to the continued growth of the Paleo industry and to consumer choice in the marketplace. American Paleo Association works on many fronts to support the transition to Paleo farming, processing, and handling. Through press releases and events, a media newsletter Paleo Proven, and a consumer web site www.AmericanPaleoAssociation.com, American Paleo Association shares the benefits of Paleo with the public and helps expand markets for Paleo products. American Paleo Association directly promotes Paleo products at retail via its cooperative marketing programs, including Gone Paleo!, and also promotes Paleo Month™ in May. American Paleo Association is a primary source for fact-based information about Paleo products and processes throughout North America.
American Paleo Association’s membership directory, The Paleo Pages, is a fully searchable directory with comprehensive indexing and monthly updates. It is a virtual Paleo marketplace, connecting buyers and sellers of Paleo products and services, from farm to retail. American Paleo Association also publishes an online Export Directory for international buyers interested in purchasing U.S. Paleo Products.

American Paleo Association is the founder of the All Things Paleo Conference and Trade Show held in Las Vegas each year. All Things Paleo is the largest business-to-business trade show and conference in North America focusing exclusively on Paleo products and paleo trade issues.

The APA works with public and private organizations to support scientific research regarding organic production and processing. Research-based information on the environmental, health, and nutritional impacts of Paleo and its products is critical for the small but fast-growing Paleo industry.
